Command R+ is the original flagship retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) model from Cohere, released on 1 April 2024 as a legacy version that has since been superseded by an August 2024 update. Compared with its predecessor R, Command R+ offers improved reasoning and instruction‑following capabilities while supporting more than one hundred languages, and it was initially offered at $3.00 per million tokens for input and $15.00 per million tokens for output.
