About this version
Grok 3 is a legacy version of the grok family released on 1 February 2025 and now superseded by later releases such as Grok 4.3. It expanded the model’s context window to 131,072 tokens and was the first Grok variant offered through an API, adding a “Think Mode” feature that enables step‑by‑step reasoning.
